Samsung Galaxy M40 Highlights:
Samsung Galaxy M40 comes with a punch-hole front camera which is one of its main attractions. You can argue that the pop-up camera technology is more advanced and practical than the punch-hole design. We do agree with it. However, the punch-hole design is more uncommon and it is a great deal for the cost. The backside has a glossy finish and a unique gradient style. Altogether, it gives a quite premium kind of the first impression.
We have got a Full HD+ screen. It is not AMOLED like many other Samsung displays, which can be a bit disappointing for many. But the PLS TFT is better than one may expect. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass which is much appreciated. 6.3″ screen size provides a good viewing experience and the phone feels quite light and comfortable in the hand.
Like the other M series smartphones, Galaxy M40 comes with excellent camera setup. The triple back camera has a 32 MP main shooter, 8 MP 123° ultra-wide-angle camera and 5 MP depth sensor. It can capture fabulous shots in daylight, indoor or semi-indoor, and night conditions. Sharpness and color reproduction is especially remarkable. The bokeh, background blur, or Samsung’s so-called live focus works very accurately. 16 MP front camera is a pretty decent deal. The back camera can shoot 4K or Ultra HD videos with very good stabilization. There is also a super slow-motion feature which is excellent for vloggers.
There is a 15W fast-charging option on this phone, which is great. But 3500 mAh battery capacity can sound like a bit on the lower side especially considering that it has a large Full HD+ display. However, Snapdragon 675 is a pretty efficient chipset and Samsung’s One UI is very well-optimized. There are 6 GB RAM and Adreno 612 GPU which makes this device a perfect choice for high-quality gaming at mid-range budget.
